Remedial Sports Massage

Remedial Sports Massage is a deep tissue massage using Remedial techniques which sets it apart from regular Sports Massage. It enhances sport performance, focuses on correcting postural imbalance, ensures correct muscle function, prevents possible future injuries or problems. It is therefore also suitable for people in the corporate environment and those involved in fine arts, who need relief from muscular aches and pains. This massage can also be used as a complimentary therapy with other treatments (such as Chiropractical or Biokinetics), speeding up recovery and healing time.

Remedial Sports Massage is a therapy below Physiotherapy and therefore different to Physiotherapy. It focuses on finding the cause of chronic conditions within the muscular, neuromuscular and fascial systems. This is more than a deep tissue massage in that we also use scientifically proven, physiologically rehabilitative techniques such as N.M.T, S.T.R, P.I.R and R.I to break up adhesions, scar tissue, to reduce spasms, and to reset the length of a muscle spindle if necessary. It is therefore great for athletes who want to focus on pushing themselves further in their training or goals, and want to do it injury free. The benefit of incorporating regular Remedial Sports Massage into any program is that we can intervene at any critical point in the cycle of injury, and prevent a future injury from taking place.
